![]() ![]() Much like in the first game in MTAP, or games such as Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, you also can romance the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes of Sandrock. Get to know everyone, listen to their stories, and don’t be too shy. While some are a bit more eccentric than others, they are all no less an amazing part of the community. The citizens of Sandrock are tough, resourceful, and loyal. For a town in the desert, Sandrock is surprisingly green as the slogan, “Reduce, reuse, and recycle” will be key to your success. This all means that scavenging plays a huge role in this game and going through piles of junk is to be expected. Wood is also not as readily available as it was in Portia as chopping down what little trees that surround the town is highly frowned upon. You will need to save up as much as you can collect so your equipment doesn’t overheat in the hot desert landscape. ![]() Water is especially scarce and more prized than gold as it is the literally the life source for the people in the community, as well as a necessity for your trade. Hot weather, frequent sandstorms, and sparse materials has made living in this town no easy feat. With some elbow grease and help from your fellow Sandrockians, this desert town can be rebuilt back into a beautiful oasis.Īs a new baby-faced builder there is no better place to test your commitment and skill to your practice than setting up your workshop in the desert town of Sandrock. Instead of the bountiful, lush green landscape of Portia, Sandrock is in rougher shape and reliable builders are in hot demand. This sandbox RPG continues the same lore and world building that is found in MTAP, just in a different town and in a different environment. You knew this would happen. It’s been three years, but now the wait is nearly over! Brought to you by the lovely folks at Panthea Games and with publication help by PM Studio s, My Time at Sandrock is the long awaited successor to My Time at Portia (MTAP) ( Check Out My Review!). Devs, honestly, you made that character fancreature-nip. (I yearn to fix Remington's haiiirrr.)Īlso, oh man, the revolt that will happen if Logan truly isn't romance-able. Actually, there are a bunch of graphics mods over there, but I haven't gotten all of them to work, yet. Do check out Nexus Mods for a few Portia mods that alter the graphics to make them less fuzzy. ![]() I wholeheartedly agree that the Sandrock graphics are much better than Portia's. ![]() Reading through the various clues it looks as though he may already have two children by various partners so perhaps the Devs thought that enough was enough :) Catori will be interesting as a more experienced lady, that's for sure, I hope they don't make her too girly girl. That's a pity, Nishi, since so many people seem to want him. The finished gameplay is very interesting, though, so I may be tempted :) However, compared to the richness of Sandrock, the graphics look rather washed out. Sounds delightful, Te :) I've yet to play Portia but I got it recently when it was 75% off and so I'm already looking to play that whilst Sandrock is still in development. I love the way the My Time games handle this. I love games that let me make things better/more organized/more beautiful, and if there's a chance to make people happy in them? All the better. I haven't tried Arvio yet, but Owen and Qi are just - <333 Originally posted by Te:Even the little bit of romance available so far is *adorable* in this game. ![]()
